- Accumulator
- A type of bet that combines several selections into one wager, with winnings rolling over each winning pick.
- Arbitrage
- Placing bets on all possible outcomes of an event across different bookmakers to guarantee a profit regardless of the result.
- Asian Handicap
- A spread that eliminates the draw by giving a handicap to each team, often in half or quarter increments.
- Bankroll Management
- The practice of setting and sticking to a budget for betting to avoid losing more than you can afford.
- Bet Builder
- A feature that lets you create a custom bet by combining different markets from the same match.
- Bookmaker
- A company that sets odds and accepts bets on sporting events.
- Both Teams to Score
- A bet on whether each team will score at least one goal during the match.
- Cash Out
- A feature allowing you to settle a bet early for a reduced payout, before the match ends.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes (win, draw, loss) in a match.
- House Edge
- The mathematical advantage that a betting operator has over players in a game or market.
- In-Play Betting
- Placing bets on a match after it has started, with odds that update as the game progresses.
- Juice
- The commission that a bookmaker takes on a bet, usually built into the odds.
- Matched Betting
- Using free bets and promotions to create risk‑free bets by covering all outcomes of a sporting event.
- Odds
- The chance of a particular outcome expressed as a number, used to determine how much a winning bet pays.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of points/goals in a match will be higher or lower than a set number.
- Parlay
- A single bet that links multiple selections and pays only if all of them win.
- Payout
- The total amount of money returned to you after a winning bet, including your stake.
- Push
- A tie result in a bet where the stake is returned and no winner is declared.
- RTP
- Return to Player, the percentage of total bets that a casino game returns to players over time.
- Sportsbook
- The section of a betting site or app where you can place bets on sports events.
- Spread
- A points adjustment that one team must beat by for a bet on them to win.
- Stake
- The amount of money you risk on a bet.
- Value Bet
- A bet where the odds offered are higher than the true probability of the outcome, giving an expected profit.
- Void
- A bet that is cancelled and the stake is refunded, usually due to a match being postponed or a rule violation.
- Wagering Requirement
- The number of times you must bet a bonus amount before you can withdraw any winnings from it.
